Pregnancy and Post Natal
Myotherapy
Pregnancy and Postnatal Myotherapy focuses on supporting women through the physical changes and demands of pregnancy and early motherhood. Treatments are gentle, safe, and tailored to your stage of pregnancy or recovery.

During pregnancy, Myotherapy can help relieve muscle tension, back and hip pain, sciatica, swelling, and postural strain caused by your changing body. After birth, it can assist with postural recovery, scar tissue release (including caesarean or perineal scars), pelvic and lower back discomfort, and general fatigue.
What To Expect?
During your Pregnancy or Postnatal Myotherapy appointment, your therapist will take the time to discuss your health history, current symptoms, and treatment goals to ensure the session is tailored specifically to your needs. You’ll be comfortably positioned — often using pregnancy pillows or side-lying support — to ensure safety and relaxation throughout your treatment.
Your session may include gentle soft tissue massage, myofascial release, stretching, and trigger point therapy to relieve pain and reduce muscle tension. For postnatal clients, treatment may also focus on pelvic, back, neck, and shoulder tension, as well as scar tissue release or techniques to support posture and recovery.
Your Myotherapist will also provide advice on stretches, movement, and self-care techniques to help maintain comfort between sessions and support your ongoing wellbeing. Each treatment is delivered with care, respect, and an understanding of the unique physical changes experienced during this stage of life.

Benefits of Pregnancy and Post Natal Myotherapy :

What qualifications do the therapists have?
Our Myotherapist’s have completed their studies and are fully qualified as Myotherapists. Then they have completed further study in the area of pregnancy and can perform both myotherapy and pregnancy massage.
Is it safe for the baby?
Absolutely, we would never do anything to risk the health of your baby. We can put you in whatever position is most comfortable – generally women prefer laying on their side. All the treatment modalities used are also completely safe for the baby. If you opt for some massage over your stomach, the baby actually loves this and usually lays nice and still as it is relaxing for them. Happy mum, happy bub!
Do you need a Referral?
Private Clients do not need a referral from your general practitioner (GP) or other medical specialist to book in for a Pregnancy or Post Natal Appointment.
